Some more candy offers!

Well, I havent managed to get any more crafting done yet. A friend came round to watch some films and eat junk food last night and I was really tempted to get off the sofa and start using the table in my lounge to do some cards!! Thought it would be a bit rude though so managed to resist!

I'm off for lunch with friends in a bit but just before I thought I'd let you know about some more candy that's on offer.

Nikki has some candy to try and get to 100 followers before 100 posts! Also, for every 50 she gets beyond that she's adding something else to the candy! Such a good idea!

Marlene has some candy up for grabs too! Those stamps would be such a treat!

Another card for a couple of challenges

This card has taken me longer than I'd hoped (was hoping to get a few done tonight!) I used the colours over on The Colour Create Challenge and thought they'd be pretty easy but they turned out to be more of a challange than expected! The colours were Lemon, Pink Sorbet and Chocolate.

I followed the sketch on The Pink Elephant and the challenge on Scrappy Frogs this week was Fairies.

Some close ups of the Tildas

I really like the effect I managed by ruffling the ribbon around the edge of the semi circle. Whilst making the card I wasnt too confident I was going to like it, but now I think its one of my favourites this week!

Papers were free from magazines. Ribbons was from stash. I wrote on the ribbon with fabric paints.

I masked butterfly tilda when I stamped dragonfly tilda so it can look like they're holding hands.
I coloured them in with H2Os and then glittered their antenna and wings with doodle bug glitter and a sakura quickie glue pen (quickly becoming my favourite now tool I think!!)

Two More Cards for you...

Ok First one, Was for the Daisy & Dandelion challenge this week but sadly didnt get it up here in time!

Paper is from a winnie the pooh set. Stamps are both penny black stamps from the birthday wishes set. I've written "Grandad" on the ribbon using tulip fabric paint.

Ribbons, cardstock, brads from my stash

Card 3 of the day is for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge:

For this challenge the only rules are that you MUST use some sort of stamping
somewhere on your project and it MUST include some form of CHOCOLATE somewhere!
You're free to create anything your heart, or tummy, desires as long as you
follow those simple instructions!

I've stuck some mini green and black chocolates on that have a message hidden underneath them!

I've coloured in tilda using twinkling h20s and then glittered her rose.
Both pieces of wording and the flower centres were done with a tulip fabric paint.
Ribbon, flowers, gems & cardstock was all from stash.

Hope you like it!

What a week!

The days have just flown by and I've not had much time for anything other than work, tidying and sleep! I probably spent all my "fun" time at the weekend. I had the wedding, then a swing/jive party on the Sunday night and spent the Monday with some friends, all days off were gone and I ended up with a busted ankle (think I over indulged on dancing Saturday and Sunday)!

I have a few pieces I've managed to knock together this week and hopefully I'll be able to do some more at the weekend!

I got this new tilda through the post recently and havent had a chance to use it yet!

It worked for 3 challenges this week though so sounds like the perfect excuse to me :)

I've used the sketch on The Sketch & Stash challenge this week.

The daring card makers challenge this week is "Wet, wet, wet". Tilda is in the rain so that surely counts :)

Over on A Spoon full of sugar the challenge is to add lace to your project this week. I really love this burgundy lace and am going to be so sad when I've run out!!

Papers are daisy bucket designs
Tilda was stamped with whispers dual brush markers and coloured with chalks and twinkling h20s. I then used a sakura quickie glue pen to highlight the rain drops and sprinkled the dark blue doodlebug sugar coated glitter over them. I then highlighted the dots on the umbrella and used the red doodlebug blitter on them. I finally used sakura glaze pens to highlight the frilly bit and edge on the umbrella and tilda's bands on her plaits (in red), i used a clear glaze pen for the umbrella handle & pocket on tilda to give it a bit more dimension too.

Brads, ribbon, flowers & cardstock from stash.

Hope you like it!

Check out Debbie's blog candy! It looks sooo good. Fingers crossed I win! I'd love all those bits and pieces to try out! xx

Hello..

Hi There,

Well - blogging is a new thing for me so here goes.
I decided to get back into making cards a couple of months ago, was looking on the internet for some inspiration and then saw all these people with blogs! It's taken me a while to get one, but here I am.
I've also started taking part in some card challenges.
I did this for the Just Magnolia challenge!

Here's a bigger picture of tilda and edwin...

I used papermania antique cream papers for the sqaures/rectangles and the backing of tilda and edwin. I painted them in using h20s and used a doodlebug rub on for the sentiments. I punched out the flowers and painted them with purple sage h20. I used some light brown organza ribbon and stuck purple gems in the corners.

Hope you like it! It's a friends wedding on Saturday so its going even get used :)

Fingers crossed she likes it!
