It's that time of year again...

It's coming up to wedding season again and I'm brushing off all my stamps that could be used for weddings/anniversaries so expect to see a few cards related to that over the coming weeks (providing I get away from work long enough to make them!!)

I'm sending this one to Domi on the simon says challenge blog! Hope she likes it!

Sorry the photos are so rubbish - I seem to be incapable of taking good pictures at the moment! They're all coming out really grainy :(

Image is forever friends stamps and coloured with copics and cut out with nesties and cuttlebug.
I glossed the champagne glass using glossy accents, you can just about see it I think!
DP is from DCWV wedding stack
Glossy paper has been run through my new best friend, the cuttlebug, with an embossing folder that I cant seem to find the packaging for so cant give you a name!
Ribbons and gems are from stash.

I'm also entering it into the following challenges

Simon Says Challenge Domi's Wedding Card
Craft Wedding / anniversary
Charisma Cards Weddings / anniversary
Secret Crafter - 3 Embellishments, 2 papers, 1 image
Pile It On - Cute and cuddly

Sketch is from A Crafty Little Place but I was too late posting to make it into the challenge!

Hope you like the card and Congratulations again to Domi and Uli!

Moving house

I don't want to jinx it but maybe I'm starting to get my mojo back. Well at least I've managed to make another card which I love almost entirely (still more than normal I suppose!). I'm not quite sold on the sentiment but this was the best one I could do.

My friend recently moved house so I've made her this card for when I see her at the weekend.

I made the patterned paper and stamped image using Elzybells fanciful flowers stamps.
The swirly cardstock is from the cuttlebug d'vine swirl embossing folder.
The image was stamped using colour box colours (I cant remember which ones, it's hopeless!)
The stamped image was cut out using my nesties.
The ribbon and card is from my stash, buttons are from elzybells and sentiment I wrote myself.

It also fits these challenges
Secret Crafter - Friendship
Papertake Weekly - Sketch
Raise the bar - "my retreat"

Hope you like it! xxx

Birthdays!

Hi All,

Well - I suppose posting once a month is better than not at all! Lots going on at the moment and I'm still pretty poorly but trying to ignore it and carry on with life and hope it will just got away! Doctors still dont know what's wrong but at least my arms dont have to have anymore blood sapped for a month or so! Work has also not been letting up lately, lots of early starts, late nights and weekends which has left me very little time for crafting!

I did treat myself to some copics about a month ago so I've also been getting to grips with those. After trying many papers and being sure I was never going to get the hang of them, I've finally managed to get some really nice results (well, so others tell me!).

Anyway, on to the cards! It was mum's birthday last week so here are a couple of cards I made and I thought I'd also squeeze them into some challenges!

Here is the first one...

and a close up of Tilda

Image - stamp is Magnolia "Tilda in the rain", I used "waterfall" stickles on the rain and puddle. The image edges have been coloured with tim holtz faded jeans distress ink
Coloured with - Copics
Background is embossed with cuttlebug and swiss dots embossing folder
Punch is Martha Stewart deep edge doily lace trim
Polka dot paper is from "the all about girls" dcwv
Card Candy is from craftwork cards
Ribbon is from stash

Challenges it fits are:
Frosted Designs - Aqua, Brown and Lime green
Just Magnolia - I used their sketch
Creative Card Crew - April Showers Bring May Flowers
Papertake Weekly - Do something different (I finally made a card with my copics!)
The Pink Elephant - Mommy, I Love You!

The second one is....

The bird up close...

Stamp is "Damask Dove" by Funstamps, I've coloured with copics and then applied Anita's Glossy Accents over the top of the copics.

I cut it out using spellbinders nestabilities and my cuttlebug. I couldnt wait and so it did slightly smudge the glossy accents! :( I attached it to the card with double sided foam tape to elevate it.

I used swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder for the card strips.

Card candy is from craftwork cards.

Card, mulberry paper and flower is from stash.

Challenges it fits are:
Scrappy Frogs - Glossy
Creative Belli - Use something old and forgotten and for a birthday (I used the bird stamp that I found in my box of stamps and had completely forgotten about!
Sketch Saturday - I used their sketch

Mum seemed to like them both! Hope you do too xxx
