Is it really spring??

I think the weather punished me today for jumping the gun and getting my hair re-coloured and "brightened up" ready for summer! The punishment was that today rained all afternoon, starting just as I ran out of work to grab a sandwich and didn't take my coat or brolly!!! I must have looked a state running with my cardigan over my hair desperate not to get it ruined and sacrificing getting the rest of me soaked!

Anyway, on with a card! It's my friends birthday in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to get ahead and a bit more organised and not up making the card the night before as is what usually happens because I'm not happy with any of the ones I've already made!

I'm really happy with the way she turned out and all the colours just seemed to work!

The paper is DCWV Spring 2008 (I think is 08 not 09, if anyone knows please correct me if I'm wrong!!)
Roses are from tracy at dies to die for and are the "Fairytale Roses - orchid"
Stamp is from the greeting farm "miss anya" set, coloured with regular old felt tips (I'm close to braving the world of copics!)
Sentiment is from pink gem designs - I've slightly fallen in love with this ticket stamps, they're so versatile! I chalked over it in pink and lilac.
Ribbon, lace and gems are all from stash.

The card is full of spring colours and the bottom piece of backing paper has spring sentiments all over it which makes it perfect for these challenges:

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Spring has Sprung - the bottom piece of backing paper has spring sentiments all over it, including "spring has sprung"!

Our Creative Corner - spring is in the air

Allsorts Challenge - Spring is in the air

Charisma Cardz Challenge - Spring has Sprung - the bottom piece of backing paper has spring sentiments all over it, including "spring has sprung"!

Nutshell's Challenge Easter/Spring

By the Cute and Girly - "Spring is in the Air"

Simon Says Challenge - Easter or Spring and some Glimmer!

It also covers these challenges:
Anya Ink - Bling - I've used my blingy gems!

Anyone for Anya> - Eggstra Special - I've used ovals on the card

Cute Card Thursday - Dimensions I've layered Miss Anya and added extra dimension with the roses

Moving Along With The Times - sketch

Creative Card Crew - Going Dotty

Colour Create Challenge - Your Choice Of Pastels

Phew, that's a long post, hope you like the card! xxx
