Dotty Dresses

Hi!
I saw the sketch over on Try Stampin on Tuesday and the colour scheme at The Play Date Cafe and thought about how perfect it would be with these gorgeous dotty dress stickers (yes, that's right, I am using up my stash!) and the beautiful Waltzing Mouse frame! I was quite tight on time for this one though but hope you like it none the less!

I just love this DP and decided to not put a sentiment on the front and instead just had the pointy bits of the embossed strip end at the "pretty" and "gorgeous"

I popped the die cut frame up on foam pads to give the card a bit more dimension

Thanks for looking and Happy Tuesday! Belz xx

Welcome baby

Hi All!
Back with another card! A very dear friend of mine is going to be an auntie in the next couple of months and so I'm making a couple of baby cards as we dont know the sex yet and I want to prepped with a card for her and the soon-to-be parents, this is the first one so expect a few more :)

I just love these ADORABLE little animals and don't you think they're just perfect for baby cards??

I might try doing a onesie with them too...we'll see!

I've stuck everything up on foam pads to give it a bit of dimension.

Hope you're having a great end of Monday / Tuesday / whatever day you happen to see this :)

Pearly flutter-bys

 Hi All,

Yes that's right! I'm on a roll tonight, so here's another card for you :)

I've had rainbows in my head lately, so I thought I'd put it to good use and punch out a load of butterflys and arrange them :)

Sticking down each pearl took a bit of time though, but other than that this was super quick!

Look at the pretty dimension :)

Happy Birthday Dotty Flowers

Hi,

Hope you're all having a happy Monday! I've had this card (flower made of ribbons) in my head for a while now and then I saw this sketch over at Inspirational Card Sketches and I just knew I had to try it!

Here's a face on shot...

And here you can see the dimensions a bit better!

Quite a quick card to make, except I really struggle to get a clear stamp out of the "happy" (the p's kept disappearing) so had to do it about 4 times!!! Oh well, 4 cards to cover up now ;-)

Hope you all like it! I'm in the mood for rainbows now, so I may be back with another card shortly!

Birthday Trees

Hi All,

Sunday evening blues are here in my house tonight! I have managed to get this card together though, I used the sketch over at Mojo Monday.

I wasnt sure it was going to sit together well and the stripy paper is quite bright, but I distress inked the edges of EVERYTHING and it seems to have pulled it together - I do love it when a plan comes together!

You will notice there is no bling on this card, it's going to go on my masculine cards pile so I had set myself a personal challenge of no glitter, pearls or gems and I'm not afraid to say it was hard!!!

Anyway, enough of the blabbering, here's my card:

I've been seeing all these gorgeous creations with twine on them and so so SO wished I had some when I was making this card but sadly I'm (mostly) sticking my rule of no new ribbons / string bits until I can fit what I have into the storage space it's supposed to!! In the mean time, this blue dyed hemp string will just have to do!

You can see the dimensions a bit better in this one...

Ok, I'm off to blog hop for a bit, I hope you like it and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Thanks for looking and I'd love it if you let me know you visited so I can come and visit you too! xxx

Cake Pieces

Hi All,
I've been thinking about this card all week, it uses the lawn fawn "bake me a cake" set and just screams to be used for paper piecing! So, that's just what I did this evening and then spent ages umming and ahhing about whether it was missing something, it just doesnt quite seem finished, but I think that's just because I'm not used to such clean cards, lol! What do you think??

I'd got quite a lot of dimension to it, I foam backed the oval and raised the plate ever so slightly too :)

For some reason the ribbon looks crinkled at the ends, but it's really not in real life! Very strange! Anywho, hope you all like it and are having a great weekend! xx

Thank you cards

Hi All!

Woohoo! It's the weekend! I bought some iced buns to celebrate...trying to limit myself to just the one but they are very moreish, they certainly wont last until Monday!

Anywhoo, I'm really here to share another card with you! I rarely do cards without an actual image on them. I think I'm just a bit scared on how to do the stamping background and its definitely not perfect, but I guess that's what practice is for!

I used the photo inspiration over on Our Creative Corner for the colour scheme and the glitter :)

The velvet ribbon misbehaved too - I was trying use my glue roller on it, but it kept pulling the velvet bits THROUGH the back!! I had to start on a new piece eventually and just double sticky tape it instead!

And here's a slightly more zoomed out version...I stuck the sentiment in one of the blue dots, it almost looks scalloped :)

Thanks for looking and hope you've all got a great weekend planned! xxxx

Love and blooms

Hi all, hope you're all have a lovely evening, woo it's nearly the weekend! I've lost my mojo today, not really sure why...I keep *almost* going for some stamping retail therapy, but then remembering my new rule about using up (or at least using once!) what I have before I'm allowed to buy anymore. Boohoo!!

I'm going to share a new card with you that I made earlier in the week. I tried another new technique with my marianne creatables flowers, I discovered this video when googling about how to use dies. I'm not sure mine turned out quite as they are in the video, but I guess not bad for a first attempt?! I was trying to get more of a rose than a carnation shape, I stickled their centres a little once they'd dried too.

The Love and Heart toppers have been sat in my stash for years and I'd completely forgotten about them until I was digging around for some brads for the flowers and found these too!

I also coloured in red, I'm quite scared of copics and red and have been convincing myself that I need some more reds to be able to get it to work! What do you think? Leave me a comment if you visit please!

Here's a front on view of the card, I used the sketch over at City Crafter

And a close up of Tilda

And this gorgeous rosey ribbon I found at John Lewis of all places, I'm worried it going to become one of those things that I don't use because it's just so cute! Lol!

Well, I hope you've all enjoyed seeing this and my mojo comes back soon and I dont spend any money in the meantime lol!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cakes!

Here's a nice quick card I've made this evening! The cupcakes are from an elzybells set and the sentiment is from a different elzybells set! The hardest part was picking the buttons and figuring out if it was going to work!  I used the sketch over on Top Tip Tuesday for this one...

I heat embossed the sentiment on as well, just to help it sit on the card a bit better - I'm not used to such clean and simple cards!! I stickled the cupcakes sprinkles in coordinating colours and used glossy accents on the cherrys. Hopefully you can see all of that in the photo below! :)

I cut one out of the center of the igloo to layer him after I raised the igloo and the others with foam pads, but he's disappeared and I just cant figure out where!!

Here's an angled view so you can hopefully see the sparkles a bit better

Finally, a close up of the bears!

The birds and the bees

Hi All,

Back with another card (surprised?!). Not much to say about this one , except it was my first time making my own flowers with the magic dies! I was a bit scared at first, but it was fun! I tried both the "swirly" ones - the purple rose (I did have to google how to make these ones though and watch the you tube video twice lol!), and the "nesties" ones - the patterned flowers which I then inked the edges of with a copic.

I used the sketch over on Sketch Saturday and I coloured in the pearls with Copics so they'd all match :)

Here's a closer one of birdy and the bees

I'm not completely happy with how the sentiment sits/looks, but can't put my finger on why.
Hope you like it, please leave me a comment if you visit, I always love hear what you have to say! :) xx

Make a Wish

I really should be getting to bed soon, so just a quick new card that I wanted to get up for the There She Goes challenge - back to nature. I was looking to through my tildas to find this one (which I havent used for quite some time now!) and realised there are quite a few that I'm not sure I've inked up more than once to put them in my scrapbook of stamps I own - ooopsy! So you may seeing more of them over the next couple of weeks! Haha!

I've used the Sketch over on Sketch N Stash. The stickles aren't quite dry yet (very hot off the press) so they are almost too shiny, but I'm looking forward to the sparkle on them when I see them again in the morning!

I've used the sketch over on Mojo Monday:

Maybe I'll have something to show you later today or tomorrow on it!

Have a great Wednesday! xxxx

Little Red Elf

Hi There,

It's been a while! I've been taken down by this rotten cold thats going round. Its really knocked me sideways! I can't taste ANYTHING but citrus flavours are really amped up, so everything vitamin c tastes sooo bitter! Yuck!

Oh well, I'm on the cold meds and hopefully over it soon :)

I've mainly been colouring images whilst trying to get better, but did manage to make this card - I've decided to try and start my xmas cards early this year and avoid the usual end of year rush! We'll see how it goes :)

I was feeling a little tired so went a little bit lazy today, but used my favourite colour - RED!

I went a little stickle crazy :)

Hope you can see a bit of the dimensions :)
