Christmas-ness

Over on lili of the valley, the challenge this week has been "untraditional christmas" and I used the colouring technique over at Color Me Copic and here's my take on it...

Here's a close up of ted...

Here's how I made it...
Image:
Ted and Sentiment are both lili of the valley.
Ted is stamped with memento tuxedo black and coloured with copics.
Sentiment is stamped with memento grape jelly.

Papers and Cardstock:
Pink cardstock is from Papermania
Metallic cardstock is from DCWV "the metallic stack"
Patterned papers are from the Crate Paper "Snow Day" pack

Finishing touches:
Tinsel has "starry night" stickles
Baubles have Glossy Accents on the metal fastener bit and the shiny sqaures. "Fruit punch" stickles have been used over the rest of the baubles.
Image cut out using nesties.
Sentiment is edged with memento grape jelly.
Papers and pink cardstock are inked with Tim Holtz distress ink "spun sugar" using foam inking tool thingy.
Pink card stock has been embossed using "ice crystals" folder.

Challenges it works for are:
Die Cut Dreams Christmas Club - Christmas Furry Things
Color Me Copic - Colouring techinque
Lili of the Valley - Sketch
One Stitch At A Time - Anything goes
Crazy 4 Challenges - Bling
The Crafty Pad - Christmas Sparkle
Olie but A Goodie -Pink and Girly

Hope you like it! xxx

Home sweet home

Well, i wrote this on my laptop at home before heading off but never checked the photos and they all uploaded upside down!! So, I discovered a way of uploading fom my iphone. Hopefully the quality is still there, sorry if it's not - I'll have a check when I get back Monday. Fingers crossed this works in the short term.

Hope you're having a lovely Friday! I've had the day off so I can try and beat the traffic and head north for the weekend to stay with some friends!

I'm going to visit their new home and here's the card I made for them!

So you can see the colouring

So you can see the stickles

So you can see the dimension

Here's how I made it
Image
Stamped image is Lili of the valley. Stamped in memento tuxedo black and coloured with copics.
Sentiment on the envelope is from elzybells little messages set. Stamped in memento bahama blue.

Cardstock and papers.
Image matted onto cardstock from stash
Papers are from my minds eye - wild asparagus set

Finishing touches
Papers and image are distressed with distress inking tool and tim holtz spiced marmalade distress ink.
Image has yellow stickles on inside of flower, turquoise stickles on butterfly bodies and the heart on the envelope has xmas red stickles.
Envelope also has been heat embossed.
Ribbon and gems are from stash
I cut the image and matted card using large oval nesties and cuttlebug.

It also works for these challenges:
