Well, after quite a long time away...I'm going to try and get back into blogging! A very drastic change of career left me with very little time so although I continued to make cards, I didn't have time to tell all you lovely people about them!

Hopefully this is the start of me being able to get back into it though x

So here's a card I made for a friend who's moved house!

- 3d foam pads to add dimension (cage and blue bird)
- cuttlebugs and dies (circle, blossom (I think!))

I just love these little Teddies! I couldnt resist Stickling their hats and the cupcake frosting! I made this with the intention of it being a male card, but then I can also think of girls who would love it!

I think because I hadnt really thought about what papers I could use with the colours I'd chosen. Must remember, always choose papers first and then colour, so much easier!!

I couldn't resist colouring her hair bow and the card candy on the side! I also coloured the orange roses at the bottom with copics (they were white too!)

Here's a close up of Anya, I'm always worried about blending oranges and reds, but the flowers in the image worked out really well!

I've used the sketch from Day 4 for this one and the challenge over at My Mums Craft Shop is "Pearly and Swirly" - I think Tilda is swirling and there are pearls on the side :) and over at the Secret Crafter it's a bingo week (I've gone for across the middle Swirls, Flowers and Pearls)

Runway Inspired CPS Day 10

Hi All,

Yay for the weekend! Quick post this evening, I've been trying to decide what to do for the Runway Inspired challenge for ages now and then realised late this evening that it was almost closed so decided I'd best get a move on! I loved the floaty-ness of the dress in the image, which is why I used the ribbon to try and get a bit of that floaty effect. Also, I loved all the shades of blues and white, so kept the card fairly monochromatic too!






Here's a better view of the card, I followed the sketch for day Day 10 of CPS's 5th Anniversary Celebration 15 Sketches Challenge...

And here's a close up of the image, and you can see the embossing on the dark blue a bit better too. She's actually an image I've had coloured up for a while, she's coloured with watercolour pencils and H20s and I used doodlebug crushed velvet on the whites of her tights to give them a bit of texture too.

 I stickled her suit and glossy accented her sunglasses.

Party Hats again!

Ok, so I saw this stamp when I was having a bit of a tidy up and it just begged to be used with the Play Date Cafe Colours, these little birds are just so cute!!

Now, for some reason the stamped ink is coming out in these photos as much more orange than it looks IRL and the card really is straight, but just would not stop dipping in these photos, grrr!

Here's a close up of the little chickadees, I just love these guys and you'll def be seeing more of them! (I hope you like them too!)
